Tembeling Beach and Forest is a lesser-visited destination on Nusa Penida but makes a great al- ternative to the more famous and significantly busier "Instagram spots". The highlight of the beach is its unique natural pools fed by springs below the ground.
While the first pool has a small ledge for some cliff jumping (it's actually only a few metres high), the second pool was our favourite thanks to its impressive location overlooking the ocean. Getting down to Tembeling Beach isn't the easi- est as it's located at the bottom of a tall cliff with a very steep and narrow road down.
Angels Billabong and Broken Beach are right next to Manta Bay, so head over to the cliff edge to see if you can spot giant Manta Rays swim- ming around the coast.
Although they swim several metres beneath the surface, they are big enough that you can still make them out from the clifftops above. We had more luck spotting them here than we did at Manta Point (which isn't worth visiting from land).
Visiting Angels Billabong and Broken Beach is free, but you might need to pay for parking if you have your own scooter.

One of the attractions on Nusa Penida that sur- prised us the most was Goa Giri Putri Temple, a larger-than-expected cave that contains a series of Hindu and Buddhist shrines.
The temple is a popular pilgrimage for Balinese Hindus who believe its spring water has healing powers.
Penataran Ped Temple, also known as Pura Dalem Ped, is one of the sacred temples that located just off the coast of Bali Island, in the island of Nusa Penida. It's consider as one of the Pura Ka- hyangan Jagat, that means, Pura Penataran Agung Dalem Ped playing a very important role for, specially local and Balinese spiritual life from a long time ago. Pura Kahyangan Jagat itself means 'universal temple" where everyone can do their spiritual activity such as praying, and meditation
As well as some incredible snorkelling spots, the Nusa Islands are home to a dozen or SO well-known dive sites. These are mostly found along the northern coast of Nusa Penida and in the channel separating Penida from Lembongan and Ceningan.
Mola Mola are a little harder to find and it large- ly depends on what time of year you visit. The best time to spot them is between August and October, but you could still see them as early as June or as late as November.
There are dive spots around the Nusa Islands suitable for all abilities, but make sure you choose the right package. The Discover Scuba package is for non-certified divers which in- cludes a full lesson and a qualified instructor with 1-on-1 support.
